How to Introduce Your Work
Are you an author?
One of our goals at Ernest & Hadley is to showcase works by local, independent publishers, authors and artists, but you don't necessarily have to be local to submit your work for consideration. Click here to get things started!
If you have a title that you would like us to carry, we will need to see an Advanced Reader Copy or an electronic version along with a tip sheet, if available. Promo materials are always good! Please email your .PDF file to email@example.com, or mail your samples to:
Ernest & Hadley Booksellers
1928 7th Street
Tuscaloosa, AL 35401
Our space is limited and our shelves are organized by theme rather than genre, so we will be sure to contact you if your book is shelf-ready and fits with our collection.
If your books are not available through our distributors, as is the case with many independently published or self-published works, our policy is to establish consignment with an agreed upon time-frame and percentage split.
Book signings are arranged by our staff and are contingent upon the relevancy of the book to the Tuscaloosa community. Each book and author are carefully considered, but here are a couple things to be aware of:
We prefer to schedule at least two months in advance to allow enough time for our purchasing/marketing/scheduling team to do their thing.
We prefer to hold book signings within the first six months of the release date.
You get out of it what you put in. Help us spread the word about your event by telling everyone you know!
If you are interested in having a book signing, please click here to start the process and we will get back to you as soon as possible!
Ernest & Hadley Booksellers is a NYT-reporting store.
